"Internet Usage in Asia"

Asiatic Internet Usage and Population Statistics were
updated from March 31, 2011. The most recent usage
comes from data published by Nielsen Online,
official country statistics and other trustworthy local
sources.

March 31, 2011, China has the highest percentage
using the internet(477.0%). Our country(Philippines),
has 29.7% and Malaysia has the lowest percentage(16.9).

Mobile markets in Asia have continued experiencing rapid growth during 2009, despite many countries close to over 90% penetration mark. There is still room for substantial growth and markets with large populations and relatively low penetration rates such as India, China, Philippines, Pakistan, Vietnam and Indonesia will continue to grow at a rapid rate.

Asia makes a strong claim to be leading the world when
it comes to the development of broadband internet. Broadband
has been the fastest growing telecommunications market segment in Asia.

The rate of adoption of wireless Internet has started to rise
with the overall increase in mobile penetration together with networks
being progressively upgraded to next generation platforms.

International connectivity remains central to the overall effectiveness of the region's telecommunications services.
